Notice is hereby given that the Board of Directors of the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako will be considering the issuance of a Temporary Use Permit at a meeting to be held during business hours on Thursday June 22, 2017 in the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako Board Room, 37-3rd Avenue, Burns Lake, B.C. Please contact the Regional District to find out the start time of the meeting if you plan to attend.

Pursuant to Section 492 of the Local Government Act, a Regional District Board may allow temporary uses for a period of three years or less, extendable for up to another three years, through the issuance of a Temporary Use Permit (TUP) by Board resolution.

An application has been made for a TUP to allow a trailer sales business on the subject property, which is not a permitted use under the current zoning. The subject property legally described as, Lots 1-16, Block 2, Section 2, Township 1A. Range 5, Coast District is located at 3680 Simcoe Ave, approximately 400 meters north of the Town of Smithers. The application area is shown cross-hatched and labelled “Use Area” on the map shown below.

At the meeting all persons who deem their interests to be affected by this application will be given an opportunity to be heard or to present a written submission respecting matters contained in the application. Written submissions sent by mail to P.O. Box 820, Burns Lake, BC, V0J 1E0; by fax to (250) 692-1220; or by e-mail to  must be received by the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako no later than June 21, 2017 at 4:30 P.M. to be ensured of consideration at the meeting.

A copy of the proposed permit may be inspected at the office of the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako located at 37-3rd Avenue, Burns Lake, B.C. between the hours of 8:30 A.M. - 12:00 noon and 1:00 P.M. - 4:30 P.M., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, from June 8, 2017 to June 22, 2017 inclusive. A copy of the proposed permit and associated information will also be made available at the Smithers Public Library.
