Economic Development Assistant

The Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako is seeking a permanent, full time (35 hours/week), Economic Development Assistant to play an important role in the Economic Development Department. The Economic Development Assistant will be an energetic, motivated, team player who has an interest in community and economic development. 

The successful candidate will have the ability to effectively write funding proposals, have excellent organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate a variety of administrative responsibilities under time constraints while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, the ability to communicate effectively, present information both verbally and in writing, and positively contribute to a team environment are essential for this position.

The preferred candidate will possess post-secondary education in Economic Development, Business Communications, or a related field.

The Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako provides local government services to an area of more than 77,000 square kilometers of scenic mountains, rolling hills, lakes, and rivers.  The office is located in Burns Lake, a dynamic community that is known for its hospitality and as the Gateway to Tweedsmuir Provincial Park.
