The Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako (RDBN) is seeking a qualified person to fill the position of Hazard Risk and Vulnerability Assessment (HRVA) Specialist for a term of approximately 24 months. The HRVA Specialist is responsible for the facilitation of an all hazard risk and vulnerability assessment for communities within the RDBN. The position is responsible to ensure that the HRVA Program activities are supported, developed and implemented in accordance with Provincial legislation and the direction and policy provided by the RDBN.
The Regional District is looking for an individual who has a thorough understanding of the HRVA objectives and proven project management methodologies and exceptional communication skills. The ability to establish and maintain effective and collaborative relationships and to lead project teams of various sizes through to completion is required. Experience working in an emergency management environment would be an asset.
