Fort Fraser Local Community Commission
The Fort Fraser Local Community Commission is an elected body that represents the unincorporated community of Fort Fraser within the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako. It consists of four locally elected commissioners and the Electoral Area D Director. Commissioners are elected every four years in conjunction with local government elections. The next Local Government Election will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026.
As both an advisory and administrative body, the Commission plays a role in the operation and administration of services delivered within Fort Fraser. These include water, sewer, and street lighting. The Commission serves as a channel between the community and the Regional District Board, ensuring that local concerns and priorities are represented. TOWN HALL MEETING
There will be a town hall meeting regarding chlorination of the Fort Fraser Water System on
Thursday, November 20, 2025 at the Fort Fraser Community Hall (470 Corporation St.)
The doors will open at 6:00 pm, with presentations starting at 6:15. We expect to wrap up at 8:00 pm.
Northern Health and TRUE Consulting will also be providing presentations.
Residents are encouraged to attend and bring any questions.
