What is a food hub?  A regional food business or organization that actively manages the aggregation, distribution and marketing of source-identified food products primarily from local and regional producers to strengthen their ability to satisfy wholesale, retail and institutional demand.

What is Local Food? Local food is food that is produced within a short distance of where it is consumed, often accompanied by a social structure and supply chain diffferent from the large-scale supermarket system.
