The Burns Lake Rural Fire Protection Area service is provided by Burns Lake Fire & Rescue. Burns Lake Fire & Rescue is operated by the Village of Burns Lake. The Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako provides annual funding to support operations and capital purchases.
Burns Lake Fire & Rescue provides the following services to the Burns Lake Rural Fire Protection Area residents:
- Structural firefighting
- Road Rescue
- Medical First Response
- Fire prevention
- Volunteer firefighter training
- Public Fire Safety Education

Topley Fire Protection Area

The Topley Rural Fire Protection Area service is in both Rural Area B and in Rural Area G. Services for this fire protection area are provided by Topley Volunteer Fire Department. The Topley Volunteer Fire Department is operated by a local society. The Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako provides annual funding to support operations and capital purchases.
